When you get involved in something bigger than yourself.
I’ve recently had the extreme pleasure of working with the crew of Snail Mail my Email as an administrative organizer. I’ve been in charge of a number of writers, sending out them emails, harvesting emails to send out and dealing with any issues that may come along with the process. It has been an amazing experience, but it’s hardly over. Submissions end at 12am tonight (in 10 minutes) which means we’ll be done with that portion. We still have thousands of emails to be written and send out. We’ve written and sent out 5,500 letters since July 19th. That’s a heck of a lot of work. It’s amazing to see seven people who don’t know each other at all work together to create this concept and idea bigger than all of us (not to mention our HUNDREDS of writing volunteers who are amazing). Created by Ivan Cash and spear-headed by many other bright minds, this idea has become a concept that people seem to be really keen on. The take home message? Send each other more letters. It’s can create a really lovely moment between two people thousands of miles away.

I emailed someone asking if I could help with this a few weeks ago but I got no response. Is there still a way to help out?
