Do you ever feel completely jaded?

My mom just told me that someone has been burning dogs in Philadelphia. One was found earlier this week and died, but they have been able to save the second one that was found yesterday. My only response was “Probably some sociopath out there.” I wish I had more faith in humans but largely I do not.
