On turning 22.
I always have a hard time with birthdays. I don’t like the unnecessary attention on me, I never know what to tell people to get me, because I feel guilty getting gifts anyway. My birthday dinner with my family is consisting of pizza. I am that boring.
My birthday always makes me overanalyze myself. I always get anxious that I don’t really know who I am. It’s the first time I’ve been single during my birthday since 2006, too, which just kind of adds to the intense self-analyzing, why am I single? but that’s a whole different can of worms.
Here’s what I can definitely is true of me, one Emily Anna Arnold on this the eve of my birth in the year 2012:
- I do not like cake unless it is cheese cake.
- I do not understand why people eat the bottoms of cupcakes or muffins.
- I am five foot and three inches tall, and weigh around 130 pounds.
- I am hourglass shaped, and have hips for what seems like days.
- I have 2 cats, one girl and one boy.
- I am interested in adopting a dog.
- I have a biting and sardonic tongue that gets me in trouble almost always, but I always mean well, I just think situations can be too serious, so I try to make people laugh.
- Making someone smile is the best fucking feeling in the world.
- I have a crush on almost every male that I am not good friends with but I know to some extent
- I cannot sleep if my cat Fuzz is not in bed with me.
- I much prefer reading books to watching movies, I am too antsy to watch a movie.
- I am legally blind.
- I am currently living with my parents, my older sister and her five year old daughter, 5 cats, 2 dogs and a guinea pig.
- I am probably one of the most sociable people you will ever meet, but that does not make me any less self-conscious than anyone else.
- I prefer dresses and skirts to pants, unless they are skinny jeans, of which I have one pair.
- I would happily live every day doing crossword puzzles, reading, eating fruit and pizza and listening to records if I could get paid to do so, but that’s not going to happen.
- I just really want to spend my life trying to make a difference in somebody’s life and help make their issues a little easier to handle.
- I love my friends more than anything in the world.
- I can’t remember what it’s like to be in love.
- I think celery gets a bad rap.
- If I could, I would make unending love to Philip Seymour Hoffman.
- I like dancing in the kitchen.
- I love the sunshine.
